Hi everyone,
I just wanted to give everybody a status update on John after losing a game of chicken with the trees on his dirt bike.
He's overwhelmed by everyone's well wishes and support.
He is battered and bruised in a lot of places. He is stable at the moment. He he has a fracture of the right pubic bone, a widened pelvis, a hematoma in his bladder, and a left tibial plateau fracture. The doctors are working on pain control and making sure they haven't missed any other injuries. While he appreciates all the well wishes and support he has requested no visitors and just wants to focus on getting some rest.

I had those same injuries in 2002. If they offer surgery with plate and screws,
take it. I saw that injury in a person who refused surgery, she didn't walk for
months. I got what looks like a motorcycle chain held with wood screws and I
was walking the next day.

A little titanium never hurt anybody. Maybe not the $6Million Man, but
being a $100K Man isn't all that bad. I think I'm a $15K Woman, but the
bills aren't all in yet.

If I followed every motorcycle FB group that I've been invited to, I'd never get
anything else done. I follow Sabmag, a couple of SxS groups, and two tractor
groups.

I'll soon be 64 years old. I carry around a broken back and a broken pelvis. My
dirt bike didn't even get started this year.

Mine hasn't been started since 2000. So what? Mind, not body.

That's when the '77 gold wing I just bought was last on the road.

I have a '99 ST1100 which will probably be the last bike I own. I also have a
'95 Suzuki DR 250 which I may or may not ride again. We're selling the
campground, buying a toy hauler, and hitting the road for a while.
